Job Summary
The Reliability Engineer works closely with the organization’s IT, Development, and Project Management teams to collect system requirements and provide support to systems in shop or field environments; works on-site or at job location to build, deploy, and test systems; and maintains reliability of customer-facing services by ensuring supporting systems always operate at optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the organization’s IT, Development, and Product Management teams to collect system requirements and provide support to systems in shop or field environments
  • Work on-site or at job location to build, deploy, and test systems
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and support of company products
  • Provide solutions that automate detection and resolution of recurring issues in the production environment
  • Maintain reliability of customer-facing services by ensuring supporting systems always operate at optimal performance
  • Serve as a key responder to major incidents, perform technical review of incident, and present solutions based on review
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and report findings to relevant department or team
  • Ensure work performed by the Reliability team aligns with the organization’s policies and directives
  • Collaborate with other organizational, technical teams to formulate solutions to issues that may arise
  • Assist Reliability team with staying current on key industry innovation, technology, and initiatives that will aid in organizational growth
  • Identify project opportunities and assist with preparation of technical proposals
  • Attend all required training
  • Safely operate a company vehicle day or night, on various road types, and in all weather conditions
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

  • All other duties as assigned Minimum 1 years’ experience in a relevant role, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, required
  • Maintaining a current, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required
  • Professional experience in manufacturing, production, and reliability, preferred
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology, preferred
  • Must be an effective multi-tasker who can successfully operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to gather, analyze, and interpret data
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, able to evaluate complex problems and provide effective solutions in a timely manner
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and able to quickly learn other work-related software
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Must be physically able to sit or stand for long periods
  • Must be physically able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions that includes extreme wind, heat, and cold
  • Must be physically able to work in an environment that may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles, moderate to loud noise, and require constant use of appropriate PPE
  • Must be physically able to operate a company vehicle day or night, on all road types, and in all weather conditions
  • Able to regularly lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 40 lbs.
